Hello all divine people Friday, July 7th, 2023 is here and we always say Friday is a small Saturday. We are so excited. Episode 380. We are getting close to 400 and we are cooking because Naples is 91. There are liars. But based on my thickness of my skin, it feels like 178. Really? Do you think we could go crack an egg on the sidewalk right now and see if it fries? We can, but my name is Rich and I’m from this mic. And my name is Matt from this mic. Sorry I put the egg before the cart. Before the chicken. Well, you always say the carrot before the cart, bleed the horse, whatever. I got ahead of the game. Yeah, that was more than, not horse. My mouth usually gets me in trouble. Or the mule, the donkey. Or a jack something, but we won’t go there. Well, let’s just say it’s extremely hot. As opposed to what? Extremely hot and hot, that’s the weather in Naples. Stay hydrated. Stay hydrated, sunscreen. We are kind of in the deficiency of people, they’re all laying on the beach. Sizzling. Sizzling away like a piece of bacon. We got some deliveries, I seen the beach today. Yeah, you did. We told them, order something so we can see a beach. And I did see it. You drove all the way down to Lautermo, right? Yeah, I went to Lautermo to see the beach. That’s awesome. Yeah, firefighters there, they’ve been flushing all the fire hydrants. Nice. So kids were running all around underneath of the flush. And when they see my truck, they felt like, I mean you should see, they were like roasters, just coming up like, there’s a competition. Because… Such a big competition, a fire truck with a huge red coffee cup on top. Yeah, that’s very much the description of our mini fire truck that we use for deliveries. Yeah, I love it. So that was the view, I saw the beach, they thank you, the people that order on Lautermo Park and keep ordering. On the other hand, we call you a wordsmith for a good reason, because some of the difficult words you have no problem with. And you even invent some new ones like Instabook. Instabook? I don’t know what was in my mind that day, but you know what it was? I think we were doing, you know, my bit later that everybody’s going to hear, the in -house pharmacist and the prescription of vitamin D. And I think I was going through the transition of liking this, that, plugging in that, sign scripture for this, and get us on Instabook. I think I should create that. Absolutely. It’s the book. Maybe you should put also some Twitter, DNA in it. Start one. TikTok. Quitter. And TikTok. I’d like you to think about it. TikTok. Or maybe I could come up with something with a TikTok Twitter. Oh my God. Twiktok Twitter. Ay yi yi. Anyway. There you go. I make, I make, you know, they used to say that I should make a dictionary of Maddyisms, because of so many. Some people go on my Facebook and look and say, all the stuff you post on there is like you’re talking in code. Actually I am, because I’ve just, you know, I’ve met so many people across the nation and made relationships and different things. So sometimes, you know, I’ll just call them by their nickname or say this or that or whatever, just to kind of grab their attention. You know, you know how important social media is today to people. I mean, I mean, look, our faces are in our phones all the time. Not mine. Well, cause you’re busy. I obviously don’t have much to do. Kidding. I don’t have much of a facelift. It’s played an important part, you know, for good and for bad. I could say, to say the least, I should say. But anyway, you know, speaking of, you know, social media, why don’t you go check out our Facebook page? Or maybe also you can check out our Instagram page. Right. So we are in social media. We’re going to be beefing that up. TikTok. TikTok. I don’t know. Have we done that yet? Yeah, we’re doing it. I didn’t know that. I’m hoping that someday, now that I’m back here, that we’re going to be able to do, you know, our little man on the street type things. Or that we’re doing it. Or just here in the studio and start getting this thing on YouTube. We’re doing it. Absolutely. Well, we need to film it. So that’ll require me to change shirts. No, I’m kidding. You lost so much weight now I have to do it. Yeah, that’s true. Thank you. I mean, it’s not like I was a hippo. It’s just getting into shape, man. You want me to disappear? No. He came in the studio normally. He came with the crocs. Now he came with the gloves. I tell you what, he’s got his garden gloves. He put them on the table and I go like, okay, what is this for? For my push -ups. Hold on. Are you going to do some push -ups? No, every time I’m waiting for the red light, I go on the sidewalk making push -ups. You know, when you’re walking around or just waiting on things or whatever, I try to get that little workout in between. You know, I like to stay busy. When there’s downtime, I just start. I just want to put this picture of people when they see somebody running out of the car and do five push -ups before the green light. Well, I got to tell you, one day I was in a parking lot over by the cinemas over there. What are the cinemas over off of Naples Boulevard? Oh, that’s Hollywood 20. Yeah, Hollywood

Yeah, Hollywood 20. And so one time I was just in the parking lot and I decided, you know, I’m waiting for something. I’m just going to get out and do 20. So I get out and I’m doing like, you know, I’m into about 15 and some girl had her window rolled down drive by. She goes, yeah, get it. Get 50. Get 50. And I’m like, man, I’m out of breath at 20. I mean, I could do 50 if I… You should sign up for… Get it. You should sign up for your fan club. So it was two things either. She was mocking me and making fun of me or like really trying to motivate me. But I do want to say this. A part of this whole divinenapels .com is to motivate and to speak positively to people and to build community. And that really does happen with, you know, how you develop as a person, your family, just business in general and creating genuine community. And connection. Yeah. And part of that, too, is that was the whole idea behind Divine Naples Coffee and Wine Bar. Correct. And so soon, like we’ve spoke in recent, you know, new podcasts, we are going to start having different events here. And so if you ever are thinking, you know, and listening to this podcast and say, hey, I might like to do an event, maybe a birthday or something or whatever, just a little get together, we are going to start opening up, you know, and booking nights to where you can do something, even if you just want to have a little party with, you know, a few handful of people or whatever. You mean handsome people? I’m sorry, I just bumped my mic. Handsome females because Matt is single. He is. And he’s obviously staying that way. I know. Let’s be serious. We are planning to do network marketing events. We would like to do also singles. You know, somehow events that we can get together and make connections because connections are very important. But we also want to connect with local businesses. So if anybody knows anyone here in our community and has a friend, I’m sure, you know, if you’ve been here for a couple of years, you have some favorite business you visit often and you know somebody who works really hard because they are passionate. We want to know about them. Please let them know to contact us or you contact us and we contact them and somehow figure it out. So we’re celebrating today National Peace and Love Day. So let’s just take that in, you know, run it down in your mind. Right. If you don’t know, July 7, 2023 is International Peace and Love Day. So let’s just be peaceful. Spread the love. Yeah, and spread the love around. But the connection that I’m talking about is, let me find it because, well, you have it. I have it. Give it to me. National father, daughter take a walk day. Well, where are they going to walk? Well, it just depends. We’ve got lots of nice places here in Naples that you can walk. Some might want to walk on the beach, different parks. There’s lots of things. Botanical gardens? Yeah, or you can simply just take a walk with your daughter around the neighborhood. And, you know, I’ll just give an example. My son in California takes his daughter out, my granddaughter, out three times a day walking. Now he does work at home. She doesn’t walk in? No, she’s in a… You’re right, actually. She just started. She just started walking? Well, you can take a daughter out in a stroller. I mean, they do, you know, when they become day one years old. Anyway, that’s one of the days. So if you’ve got a daughter, you know, take her out for a stroll. Make sure everybody knows and see her. Yeah. And you should be proud of her because she’s your daughter. That’s right. And you’re just spending some quality time and building family together. That’s correct. Healthy families make healthy communities. Make sure the kids are proud of the parents and they never feel embarrassed. I got another day for you. Give it to me. It’s National Dive Bar Day. Oh, my God. That’s your type of day. I don’t think… Well, anyway… I’ve never been in a dive bar. What is that exactly? It’s just your local bar, they call it, or whatever. You come in a dive equipment? Or divers goes there? I just… You made me laugh so much. Don’t die on me. I’m not going to die on you. No, it’s just your local watering hole. What is watering? I’m so behind. Slang for, you know, your little place where you have a cocktail. Oh, there is a bar right here on our street on a 4th Avenue South. But when you cross 41, you know, where’s the Naples… What is it? Train Depot? Yeah, right there. Train Depot, that may be the one. That is like between the buildings. Yeah, there you go. Have you seen it? I haven’t seen it, but I don’t… Bikers usually go there. I’ve never seen there being open, but a few people… I think they’re just like a sponsor’s business owner. It’s a… It seems like a derogatory statement, but it’s just kind of a slang thing. So hey, if you’re into it, go, you know, be a patron of your local dive bar, because they can use the business too. Just when I know where the dive is, I can dive in. You know, that’s the whole thing. You dive into other things. Can I also snorkel in? Snorkel in? Yeah, I guess. Just so I make sure. I think you should just go to the beach and do your snorkeling. And last one I want to mention that is your favorite, and that is World Chocolate Day. So anybody go and dive into chocolate and snorkel into chocolate, get the bar and eat it underneath the table, so nobody finds you and nobody sees you. Yeah, or simply just go to some local business that sells chocolate, and if you like chocolate, buy the chocolate and eat the chocolate, or

buy the chocolate for somebody, or share the chocolate with somebody. That’s correct, and we’re going to go back to our coffee and wine bar, we’re going to have chocolate croissant, and we’re going to buy the chocolate croissant, and then take one of the European chocolate and eat the chocolate with the chocolate croissant. So there, I think chocolate’s covered. And we can have also hot chocolate. Yeah, why not? Yeah, that is European too. It sure is. Yeah. So that’s pretty much about all the days. We have anything else? We’ve got a couple of events. Events? Yeah, it’s on Saturday. Hold on just a second. Let’s dive into… Let’s dive into events. I am still snorkeling. You’re snorkeling, I’m diving. Let’s do it. That kind of sounds weird, but anyway. There’s Sunset Saturdays at the Cove. Tell them where the Cove is. That’s good, yeah. Let’s go. Cove Inn. Yeah. There’s a tiki bar. Have you been there? I have been there. But I went there for breakfast. Did you dive in the tiki bar? No. Okay, I will snorkel in today. Snorkel in. I’ll get you up to speed. There’s also the Naples Beach cleanup day and that’s… That’s very important. That’s in Vanderbilt. We want to keep our communities clean. We’ve all seen what’s happened before when we have people, visitors from other coasts coming over, whatever. Let’s keep our beaches clean for everybody, for the locals, for those that are coming to visit Naples from other nations. And if I may say, a lot of people, I’m not going to point fingers because my fingers not that long, so I just want to say a lot of people just leave stuff behind them when they leave the beach. So if you are one of them, just please come back today and tomorrow and find a thing, object, whatever it is, and pick it up. So that will be part of the cleanup. So if you don’t mind and you have time on hands and you’re passionate, just like us, you will find where they do the cleanup and you will participate at least 15 minutes, 20, 30, it doesn’t matter. Makes you feel good. I got one more and that’s hands on history family days. So if you got kids or whatever, you can go to the Collier Museum at Government Center and that’s on 3331 Tamiami Trail, East Naples. And you can take your kids and they get a chance to handle historic objects and work with old fashioned tools and get a sense of what people had to work with in the past. Yeah, so before the iPhone and electric battery operated D -wall drill. Caveman drill. It was not a Makita. You don’t think caveman had Makita? I don’t think so. Where is Makita or Milwaukee before? Milwaukee is a good product. Yeah, you think the caveman? I don’t think so. How do you find out? They were too busy pulling their goals by the hair. And tomorrow also, if you in downtown, you may be subject to a free concert that is happening between 1 and 3 p .m. in Norris Center, 755 8th Avenue South, that is in Campier Park and the band which is playing is Naples Jazzmaster. Bring your beach chair, maybe if you drink, you should or not, you can order from us. We bring it to you, just be hydratic, sunscreen, it’s right in the middle of the day so be ready for it, 1 to 3 p .m. on Campier Park. And with that, we’re just going to wrap it up because this small salary, we have things to do. Yeah, we do get ready to slide into that weekend.
