It is fall in Florida. It is splendidly bright and sunny, and the sky is a profoundly intense blue. The humidity is low, and there is a light breeze. Regardless of whether you are a beginner runner, starting with a warmup routine or preparing for your tenth marathon, this is an ideal opportunity to be outside. Numerous running and strolling pahts, both on and off the streets, exist around Southwest Florida. Running independently from anyone else can be tranquil and therapeutic, however, in the event that you require a little inspiration or social help, local groups have formed that organize runs for runners of all levels regularly every week.
We’ve scouted around a bit and looked for really awesome places where you can run.
Pelican Bay
Miles of walkways, shaded roads and wide bicycle paths make an ideal place for a quiet walk or run. Pelican Bay is the most loved for neighborhood runners and running gatherings. Parking is accessible around Artis—Naples or off Vanderbilt Beach Road.
Gulfshore Boulevard North
Stop at Seagate Beach with a beach permit or paid parking. Travel south to appreciate a four mile circle enjoying views of Venetian Bay, the Village Shops at Venetian Bay and the highrises of Park Shore. Drinking fountains can be found at both the north and south closures of Gulfshore Boulevard North.
Naples Gordon River Greenway
Found downtown, the scenic route is alongside the Naples Zoo (Jungle Larry’s for long-term local people). Stop at the north parcel off Golden Gate Parkway or the part south of the zoo. The scenic route offers a mix of promenade and cleared trails. The circle is approximately four miles. The scenic route is one of our most loved getaways. The footpaths and ways are extraordinary spots to see untamed wildlife.
Gulfshore Boulevard South
Park with your city or county beach parking permit for free or the paid parking at Lowdermilk Park and travel south. The Naples Pier (with open restrooms and drinking fountains!) is around a four mile excursion, or for longer runs, make a beeline for the finish of Gordon Drive for a 10-mile run. On the off chance that you need a shorter exercise, most roads are simple runabouts, with numerous drinking fountains.
Whether you are a beginner or a hardcore marathoner, it’s always great to do it in Naples, Florida. The clean air the city has is great for your lungs too. The views, both natural and man-made are all to die for, the streets are generally safe and its overall a nice place to run competitively or just on your own or with friends. We say this because there are many local competitions for you to test your mettle in, and this happens all week. Most have registration fees so it’s best to check the local listings for that.
