If you’re looking for a park that’s bustling with fun and people, then the Veterans Community Park is for you. This is one of the busiest parks in the entire Lee County with children playing and going about and many exercise sessions. There’s even a group there called the Bone Builders which we’ll tell you more about in a bit later. And apart from the natural attractions that calm the spirit, you may be pleased to know that you can bring your dogs here too, so your pet can share with the relaxation. In the Veterans Community Park there would be dozens of activities for children, grownups and even the elderly.
The park has tons of facilities and many of these are the ones you can generally expect from a public park in Naples, Florida such as a community center, a baseball field for the youngsters and a bocce ball court that would probably appeal to the more mature crowd. There are also four tennis courts which are lighted and also four lighted racquetball court a playground for the kids complete with slides and swings and all so they don’t get bored too much and also a soccer field which is awesome for the boys and girls who like to learn more about sports. There’s also a multi-purpose rink for skating and such and the pavilion where you can take shade from the sun and have your afternoon picnic.
One of the things that stand really out in the Veterans Community Park and something that plays an important role especially in a certain sector of the community is that the park has a class that’s called Bone Builders. This is an initiative of the Collier County’s Retired Senior Volunteer Program where they offer assistance to the elderly people who suffer from osteoporosis and keeping them healthy and this is being done using methods that are safe for that particular age group with this particular condition.
The thing that can surely be awesome for everyone in the Veterans Community Park would have to be the Rover Run Dog Park at Veterans. This is a spot where you can bring Spot to run around the mowed lawn and be all happy and rolling under a sweet Florida sunshine. The place would be a great opportunity for your dog to interact with other dogs and meet other dog owners such as yourself.
