Sunsets are glorious in Naples, Florida. The dazzling display of rich and vibrant colors feeds both your eyes and your soul. The streaks of red, orange, blue, indigo, white and blue all intertwine to form the best work of art Mother Nature can ever produce. But now that the sun has gone down, it doesn’t mean the fun is over. Here are five things you can enjoy yourself with in Naples, Florida.

Ice Cream at 5th Avenue

This may sound counter-intuitive but nights can be very warm here for somebody who comes from a colder part of the country, especially in the northern parts near Canada. A scoop of ice cream from 5th Avenue South downtown, Naples can be a nice way to help you acclimatize. Plus, this is ice cream we’re talking about, what argument can you possibly have against that? Walk down this lovely downtown street and admire the sights and sounds of the city while enjoying a cone.

Enjoy the Old Naples at 3rd Street

You may also stroll down the alluring 3rd street with its palm trees that line up the sides of the road and the additional vegetation on the side which gives it an even more calming vibe. There are inns, restaurants, barbecue grill places, a Catholic church, clothing shops and gorgeous homes that will definitely fill all your senses. Stop by here for a dinner and you won’t regret it.

Stay in the Pier

The sunset may be over, but the display of lights is not yet done. Should you decide to stay in the beach or, as we’d like to assume, in the Naples Pier, we believe that you’d be more than happy to see that the reflection of the moon as it hits the waters on the Gulf of Mexico creates a sparkle that looks pretty amazing. Add to that the deep purple sky and the twinkling of the stars and that’s amoré!

Drive to Port Royal

Naples, Florida was modeled after the city from Italy where it got its name from. And if Italy is mentioned, can we ever leave out the houses that seem to float on water? Well, you don’t have to go overseas to witness the same thing. Go to Port Royal right in downtown Naples and see palatial houses, built in a Mediterranean style architecture while the actual streets are not paved with rock and concrete, instead it’s made of water. That’s right, in Port Royal, homes are accessed using small boats that go through a road-like waterway that connects out into the gulf. It’s definitely worth the visit.

Go Shopping

If you want to stay indoors, in case the weather is not too cooperative or you want to enjoy a movie, then head on to The Mercato. This is a shopping mall right in the heart of Naples where you can relax and enjoy their amenities and even have dinner in their restaurants there. You can also visit their array of shops and boutiques. You can also go to their cinema and watch movies over there with friends and loved ones.
